On this date in 1933, William B. Robertson was born in Roanoke, Virginia. He was the second of eight children to Irvin and Rebecca Robertson. During his life and times he rose to prominence as an Educator, Statesman and Orator. Service to humanity was a consistent theme throughout a career that spanned 6 decades.

“I have always had a sense that I needed to give back because of the many people – family, teachers, neighbors and friends – who gave so much to me,” said Robertson.

Today, we honor William B. Robertson by launching the William B. Robertson Initiative | Lifting Every Voice to continue his distinctive legacy of service to humanity.
